Armstrong’s Got It Wrong
He claims in Cyclingnews that Patrick Clerc was removed from TDF management because he thought the race was bigger than the riders. The bottom line is that the Tour creates the stars and the legends. Not the other way around. Without the Tour, Armstrong wouldn’t have a career as a pro cyclist.
